School Poster Competition
This is the third year of the Ennis Street Festival Poster competition. We invited primary school children to enter with the theme "Opening Doors". We encouraged them to use recycled materials and were delighted to receive so many beautiful and imaginative pictures .Thanks to everyone who participated!
You are all welcome to the Glor theatre where some entries will be exhibited from the 1st of July.
The winning entry this year is: "Opening Doors (...to Our Future)" by Rang Naionáin Shinsearacha and Muinteoir Clíona Ní Chonghail, Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Cíosóg, Inis.
Special Mention to Raana Bennett, 4th Class, Ennis National School.

Paint the Town 2011
Calling all artists to this third annual painting "day out". Please join us during the festival weekend with your painting gear and try to capture some of the aspects of this lively, beautiful town of Ennis during this weekend. There are fabulous prizes this year . Participants must bring their own painting materials (any technique).
Help us to bring art on to the street, letting people experience the magic of work in progress and lets get together to contribute to this community project that is the Ennis Street Festival.
Registration will take place from 10 to 11 am on Sat. 2nd July at the Old ground Hotel. Art work has to be delivered on Sunday the 3rd from 11 am to 12 pm. Prize ceremony Sunday the 3rd at 1 pm.

Ennis will have the opportunity to host these wonderful musicians from Berwyn, Philadelphia, with more than a decade of succesful
experience teaching music, School of Rock is the national leader in Philadelphia in music educationfor kids age 7 to 18.

The Circus Stachamoose...is the new show from Your Man's Puppets, which introduces us to the theatrical delights from the intrepid Stachamoose brothers, who hailing from the mist-shrouded Orient. These suspiciously similar-looking brothers display an energetic mix of physical comedyand manual dexterity using a nicely balanced blend of mischievous humour and accomplished puppeteer skills. |

''The Art Bomb Project'' is the street project produced by local artist Minnie Keane with the idea to share free art with the community and create a visual impact in Ennis during the festival. Various locations around the town centre will be ''bombed'' with art pieces which are free to take home for whomever finds them! These art pieces include paintings, drawings, sculptures, mobiles, stone carvings, and poetry! So be on the lookout around town during the Ennis Street Festival - you can be one of the lucky people to discover fantastic art and give it a home!

Tumble Circus--Up Above--
Saturday 2nd of July at 7.00pm and Sunday 3rd of July at 5.00pm, at Garraunakilla Place, Car Park at the Market Area (Farmers Market).
Circus theater from the wrong side of feel good.Slapstick acrobatics, hazardous aerial acts and flying hula hoop all performed around a seven meter high free standing trapeze rig.
Tumble Circus is a unique experience of innovative Irish circus and they are specializing in high skill circus street theatre. This show is a proud delivery of their strongly developed clowncharacters with a happy amalgamation of acrobatics, manipulation andoutstanding aerial routines; a comedy circus show with high physical skills driven by characters that are drawn from contemporary cultures.

Connor Harrington and Vhils aka Alexandre Farto are two very talented artists with worldwide recognition that will visit us during the course of the Ennis Street Festival 2011 to enhance our town with their magnificent art masterpieces. Both artist will be working on two different outdoor spaces, at Glor and next to the Rowan Tree Hostel. Connor and Vhils will encourage visitors to engage and experience their creative process and to learn the visual language of their art. The Clare Youth Services will collaborate with this artistic project.

America .Her Music has been described as Soulfull and melodic with influences like Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Rait , Nikka Costa and Stevie Nicks to mention a few . She also won TG4s "Feis and Blood" recently with her 11 year old Daughter Rhianna , performing an
original song called "The Dream ". Her live performance is truly special, allowing audiences to enjoy the sheer energy as well as subtlely of her music.
